Booker Statement on Passage of PACT Act

Statement

Date: Aug. 2, 2022
Location: Washington, DC

Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) issued the following statement:

"After weeks of unjustifiable delays, I am proud that the Senate has finally passed this critical legislation. For former servicemembers who have been exposed to toxic burn pits and other environmental hazards, the PACT Act will remove bureaucratic obstacles and expand access to the healthcare they deserve. Our nation's veterans and their families have made immense sacrifices, and we must ensure that they are given the resources, care, and support they need. The PACT Act moves us one step closer to fulfilling our sacred responsibility to them, and I am grateful for the advocates who worked to secure this bill's passage."
